K-9 KENNELS

Welcome to K-9 Kennels!  My name is Monica Postier, and I am the owner here at K-9 Kennels.  My goal is to provide your pet with a fun, safe, and positive experience during their stay.

 

I have been an animal lover my whole life.  At the age of 13 I started volunteering at the Capital Humane Society in Lincoln, Nebraska, where I continued to volunteer throughout high school.  During my college years I worked at Wilderness Kennels and Kenl-Inn in Lincoln, as well as at Pitt's Veterinary Clinic.  I graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Fisheries & Wildlife, with an option in Zoo Animal Care.  I had always wanted to pursue a zookeeping career, but now instead of taking care of wild animals, I get to take care of other people's four-legged friends!

 

I take the greatest care to ensure the safety of each and every pet that comes through my doors.  Each personality is considered when being separated into playgroups, so that each dog has the opportunity to play as much, or as little, as they want.  I make the effort to get to know each dog that comes to stay individually.  Your dog will not just be one of many dogs, but a special friend, a part of my family.  As fun as playtimes can be, they can also get exhausting!  That's why all dogs are given several opportunities throughout the day to settle down for "Nap time", so they can have the chance to recharge.  After naps, it's back to playing again!  Your dog is able to get plenty of socialization during their stay here...your pet will likely have a better time on vacation than the family will!
